Magnolia, which are named after the French botanist Pierre Magnol (1638-1715) are prized for their outstanding floral display with a great variety of large tulip or star shaped flowers that come in shades of white, pink, purple and even yellow. They make fantastic ornamental garden trees or shrubs, with the flowering season ranging from early spring to late summer.
This collection captures the stately beauty of the Magnolia blossom and the magnificence of the Magnolia tree in Florida's original tourist attraction, the Bok Tower Garden, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. in 1929.
